A word about sales tax :-(

There seems to be a bit of a gray area here in Missouri regarding who exactly is a "Commercial Breeder", who must be taxed regardless of their location in a internet ecommerce transaction, whether or not reptiles can be considered "livestock", and a couple of other issues wherein the statutes aren't very well defined or are subject to interpretation. A simple example is we can sell Dubia and Superworms to a poultry farmer and that product is tax exempt. Apparently those same two products sold to a bearded dragon breeder are not, as a bearded dragon as currently defined by the state of Missouri is not considered "livestock". 

If you are a reseller you can avoid paying sales tax by providing us with a  Missouri Sales and Use Exemption form 149

We naturally assume that everyone who purchases feeders from us wholesale are feeding livestock or reselling through pet stores. But we need to have a copy of form 149 on file in case we get audited and are forced to pay the sales tax ourselves.  :-(

Currently, any funds paid to us via our website checkout will be taxed by default. We are working on that but in the meantime contact us for alternative payment methods should you want to order tax free.  (We will still need a sales tax exemption form on file)

You will be given a coupon code exclusive to you only, which you can use directly on our website, when checking out through our shopping cart process. Otherwise, you will be sent an invoice which will note the advertised price, and then deduct 20%, to arrive at a total due. We have several ways to pay including Debit/Credit, Business Check, Paypal, and Zelle.
